Blaze On.

In a full-blown love affair with blazers lately. I’ve been wearing them with everything from cigarette trousers to dresses. Snapped up a few on sale during the holiday season, and requested several more as Christmas and birthday gifts. Here are three of my scores, plus one that is still on the wishlist:

Blaze On1. JCrew Schoolboy velvet blazer in poppy ($168)
2. Rachel Zoe Liza Sequin blazer ($495)
3. Old Navy Jersey Fleece blazer ($40)
4. Victoria’s Secret Sequin blazer ($119)

How fun is that poppy velvet JCrew blazer? I scored it right before the holiday and wore it on Christmas Day. Paired it with a blouse, skinny denim and flats. Wore it to work this week with a leopard sweater and pegged khakis.

The piped Old Navy blazer is so chic (at a perfect price point!) plus super cozy because it’s a jersey material (as opposed stiff suiting material). Wore it this week as part of an all-black outfit (I was mourning the end of holiday vacation).

I have yet to wear the gold sequined VS number… I’m still trying to work out how to wear it for day. Maybe with a chambray shirt and skinnies? Obviously it would be perfect over an LDB, but I want to see if I can’t get the sparkle to mesh with my 9 to 5 outfits (without looking like I’m trying to turn my office into Studio 54).

The Rachel Zoe is still on the wishlist– where it will likely remain… Gorgeous but that’s a chunk of change, yes?

Happy Friday! Hope everyone has a great weekend.

  1. Love this post! Blazers are my favorite! I’ve been in the market to buy a few new ones, and this has inspired me to get outside the box. πŸ˜€

  2. What a great selection! Love all the blazers- just wonder if the sequined ones would be hard to clean? Dry clean only?

  3. You look great in that orange J.Crew blazer! Love it!

How do you get your hair in the topknot? I can never get mine to look that good (and stay put)!
