Athleisure Uniform + Extra LSR Preview: Shopbop Sale.

A leather jacket with an athleisure spin + using the trend to shop the Shopbop sale.

Three of my favorite words: leather jacket season. As ready as I am by May to put ’em away for the summer, I’m always so excited to pull ’em back out for fall. What’s even better is adding a leather jacket to an athleisure outfit because that just spells comfy + cool all around. This strong shoulder jacket is an old fave; the boxy quilting and pointed shoulders give it a futuristic feel that isn’t your standard moto fare. When thrown over the top of a printed Adidas sweatshirt (sold out, but similar versions here and here) and black leggings, you have the makings of my athleisure uniform. Stan Smith sneakers punctuate the casual, and a chambray tied at the waist adds a little something extra to the look.

Extra LSR Preview: Shopbop Sale.

You guys remember that little announcement from Tuesday? Well, here’s your first little taste; let’s talk the Shopbop sale + what to buy.

When the weekend comes, you can usually find me in athleisure-based looks. I love how this super casual + street chic way of outfitting has become normal. An oversized sweatshirt is no longer sloppy (in fact, it’s cooler to buy ’em big), and those workout leggings are not just gym-only. This means that you don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort. It also means that same printed sweatshirt goes on the grocery run and to the boutique opening, or as loungewear and to drinks with pals. Bonus: sneakers with everything, so your feet are just as cool and comfortable as the rest of you.

The 3-day Shopbop sale is the perfect excuse to stock up on some athleisure goodies at a discount. The more you spend, the more you save!

shopbop sale details

The good news: you get 25% off orders up to $500, and 30% off orders over $500. Helloooo, that’s some serious savings. Just use MAINEVENT16 at checkout and you’re golden.

The bad news: the sale is quick! It only lasts through tomorrow night, October 14th. (For my Central time zone friends, the sale ends at 2:00 a.m. on Friday night/Saturday morning, technically October 15th.)

So what to buy? Since athleisure’s the name of my game right now, that’s what I’ll be shopping. If that’s a style train you want to jump on, I’ve curated my favorite athleisure picks below. Happy hunting!

Leggings (both basic and wild; you need ’em both), jackets, and tops perfect for mix + matching for the perfect kinda-gym-kinda-street outfits:

Sports bras, shoes (because your feet should be stylin’ and comfy), and bags that haul all your stuff with a sporty-luxe feel:

Check back this weekend (yes, you heard that right– bonus post!) for the first official edition of Extra LSR. More athleisure goodness coming your way.

  3. Great jacket!! I love when leather jackets have shoulders like that. They give such a blazer-y feel to it that makes the jacket look all the more better.
